Deck and Ramp Project
After adopting a five-year-old with complex medical needs, friends of the family were kind enough to build a deck and ramp onto Chaney Roko's home, making it fully accessible for the first time.
Here is a picture of the rear of the house before the deck and ramp was built. As you can see, it features several steep stairs into a narrow back door.
Prior to the deck and ramp, getting people in wheelchairs into the house was quite a challenge. This picture shows the collapsible ramp that was used to transfer directly into a wheelchair van.
New stairs, a small deck, and a new wider door were added to the backside of the house.
Along the side of the house is a large deck with a full ramp. The next two photos show the deck area and new ramp.
